In January 2020 Randal participated in a second Battles of the First World War Podcast with Mike Cunha. Together with cross cultural trainer and author, Carol Kieffer, the three spent an hour discussing cultural differences between Americans and the French. In 2017 Randal had the opportunity of participating as a guide and historian in the Filming of “A Golden Cross to Bear,” a five-episode documentary that follows the grandson of an infantry soldier from the Illinois National Guard’s 33rd Division as he retraces the footsteps of the division’s men.
