La Vie en France: 2017 Plans

Song of the Open Road

Afoot and light-hearted I take to the open road,

Healthy, free, the world before me,

The long brown path before me leading wherever I choose…

This poster was my 2016 Christmas present from my wife, Laurie, in anticipation of this day.  I have tendered my resignation for my day job, and I will be leaving shortly.  From May to November 2017 I am making plans to live in France and to work as a freelance tour guide; helping Americans rediscover the battlefields of WW1.

Details on touring the battlefields with me can be found in the “MA Tour and Travel” section of the website.  I will be continuing the blogpost and Meuse-Argonne.com Facebook group posts; and I will be adding a new section, “La Vie en France,” that will cover cultural topics that invariably arise when one lives overseas.

2017 is an exciting year because of the Centennial.  It will be doubly exciting for me.  Stay tuned!!!
