Space is still available for the Lost Battalion and I Corps Battlefield Tour, 4-7 October, that was announced in early March. Readers should not pass up the opportunity to participate!
Why? First, Robert Laplander, author of “Finding the Lost Battalion…” will be leading the LB and 77th Division portions of this tour. He is arguably one of the most knowledgeable people on the episode of the Lost Battalion; and he does not make it to Europe often. This is a chance to spend quality time on the ground with a very knowledgeable individual. Second, Webmaster Randy Gaulke’s battlefield tour philosophy encourages participants to get out into the field; and Randy tries to bring the locations covered to life using photos, maps and first person accounts. By focusing only on LB and I Corps events, participants will get a VERY IN-DEPTH FOUR-DAY TOUR that is hard to replicate with any other tour offer.
Whether readers have a relative who fought in I Corps or whether they are just fascinated with the fighting experienced by I Corps during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, readers should not pass up this opportunity.
Readers will find full details in this brochure: LB Tour Flyer Draft Final March 10 2019.
