On its recent weekly call, the World War One Centennial Commission is encouraging all interested to WRITE VIA SNAIL MAIL a letter to the Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee encouraging them to produce a series of stamps commemorating America’s involvement in the war.  Readers can include suggestions of stamps they might like to see:  Major leaders, heroes, major battles, etc.

It is important for everybody to “do their bit” in this campaign; as the odds of approval increase with the number of responses received.

Your letters–on WW1 stationary if you have it–should be sent to:

Citizens Stamp Advisory Committee

475 L’Enfant Plaza SW, Room 3300

Washington, DC  20260-3501

The webmaster promises to send his letter immediately after this is posted.

P.S.   The webmaster will mention again that the World War One Centennial Commission holds weekly calls at 12:00pm EST every Wednesday.  If readers want to be part of this, they can find the information on the centennial’s website (http://worldwar1centennial.org) or they can contact the webmaster.
