Caption:  German troops pose outside the Chateau of Lion-devant-Dun, which served as a hospital at the time the then photo was taken circa 1916.  Lion-devant-Dun is just north of the Côte Saint-German and Murvaux, very close to Frank Luke, Jr.’s crash flight.

Note that the path of the road in front of the Chateau has changed a bit since World War I, but the photo is still recognizable and eerily reminiscent of the 1916 photo.
